The Dyer’s Daughter

I had the pleasure of collaborating with Ann & Frances, the mother/daughter team behind The Dyer’s Daughter - a sustainable fashion label with a true love for hand tie-dying techniques.

They have recently expanded to include kids-wear and asked whether I would make some images to help launch their SS21 collection.

A lovely open brief meant I was able to hero the connection between the garments and the great outdoors (with a little bit of suburbia thrown in there too), nature being a main influence on the collections colourways.

We ended up with this series of photographs, reminiscent of film stills, with a sense of movement and adventure bringing life to the clothing. I really enjoyed reigniting my love of cinema for inspiration, something I’ve not had much time to nurture lately. A very welcome chance to play and create with a sense of purpose other than simply my own folio.
